Biography
Samantha Fraser-Bell is an Associate Professor in the discipline of Ophthalmology at the University of Sydney and consultant medical retina specialist at Sydney Eye Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital. She is actively involved in clinical research, running a weekly research clinic at the Macula Research Unit, Save Sight Institute, and Sydney Eye Hospital, where she has been an investigator for more than 50 retinal clinical trials.
Samantha has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. Other significant positions held include Macula Society member, Deputy Director of Clinical Trials, Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney, Medical Retina subeditor for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, Australian Vision Research (Ophthalmic Research Institute of Australia) board member and chair of their grant review panel, and co-Director of Sydney Eye Hospital medical retina fellowship program.
Dr Phoebe Moore

Biography
Dr Phoebe Moore is a general ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in retinal diseases, uveitis, and cataract.
She graduated first in her medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 2011, earning multiple academic awards, including the AMA Prize for highest overall ability. She later completed a
Master of Medicine in ophthalmic science, again graduating first with top honors. Dr Moore trained in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, achieving the highest ranking across Australia and New Zealand and receiving the KG Howsam Medal for excellence in 2018. She then pursued further subspecialty training in retinal diseases and uveitis at Bristol Eye Hospital in 2020.
In 2021, Dr Moore returned to her hometown of Tamworth, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
Dr Anagha Vaze

Biography
Dr Anagha Vaze is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. She is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in medical retina, Uveitis (inflammatory eye disorders) as well as inherited eye disorders. Dr Vaze is a highly experienced cataract surgeon with a strong interest in complex cataract surgery, particularly in patients with retinal and inflammatory eye disease.
Dr Vaze studied medicine in India and after completing her Ophthalmology training there, she did advanced training in Ophthalmology in Australia including a Medical retina & Uveitis Fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Medical Retina Fellowship at the Sydney Eye Hospital and General Ophthalmology training at the Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide.
Dr Vaze is a clinician-scientist with an interest in clinical research and registries and has widely published in peer-reviewed journals. She has a higher degree in research from the University of Sydney which was awarded for her work on post-marketing surveillance of treatments of wet macular degeneration using the Fight Retinal Blindness! (FRB!) registry. She has been an investigator in multiple clinical trials of new therapeutic agents used for the treatment of blinding retinal conditions through the macular research group at the Save Sight Institute and Sydney Eye Hospital.
